Video: Build Agents With SharePoint List Knowledge In Copilot Studio



In today’s video, we are going to use the all-new Copilot Studio build an agent that’s grounded in SharePoint list knowledge.

We’ll be able to ask our agent question using natural language, and then the agent will send us the results. And what I love about these new agents is they give super accurate results, even when working with a really large lists. We are also going to make our agent generate spreadsheets and chat over email.

Thanks Matthew!
When I tried to search, the Agent only found 10, when I know there are about 200 with the criteria I searched for in the SharePoint list. After correcting the Agent, it says “Thank you for the correction! You are absolutely right, and I apologize for the inaccurate count. My search tool returned only a partial set of results — it surfaced 10 records”

Do you know why my search is so limited?
How are you getting accurate results from such a large list? Is it a setting somewhere?

Are you using the NEW Copilot Studio experience? New Copilot Studio is super-accurate whereas classic Copilot Studio frequently truncates the reponse.

This is fantastic! As usual I have some questions:

  • Does this new copilot studio agent also search files added to lists?
  • Does this use the same credits or do users need to have a copilot licence?
  • Are you able to package multiple agents into specialist agents (as was pervious architecture in some places) with just one agent visible to the end user?
  • I checked and can’t find it but the ability to variablise a SharePoint URL would be great.
  • Whats the method of promotion for these new sale agents?

Sorry for all the questions but this is something I’m actively working on using the previous version of copilot studio and what you built took seconds compared to what we’re having to do to build/maintain.
